The Sir Jackie Stewart Classic Presented by Rolex was held over the weekend of June 18-19 at the evocative location of Thirlestane Castle near Lauder in the Borders of Scotland. Thruxton was the venue for round three of the Kwik Fit MSA British Touring Car Championship — the fastest circuit on the calendar and the only circuit to have its own special tyre as the normal medium compounds can’t cope with the insane cornering speeds and the very abrasive track surface.Last time at Thruxton for pre-season testing, Laser Tools Racing found it a frustrating day, as due to a faulty component, Aiden’s M Sport engine destroyed itself. British Sprint Championship: John Loudon reports on his weekend at Blyton Park Driving Centre.

After a difficult time at Donington Park, with technical issues, Laser Tools Racing had taken the cars back to the workshop in Scotland where solid improvements have been made. On Saturday morning at Brands Hatch in Kent we were able to see how we had done and with the weather warm and sunny they were ideal conditions to measure our progress. Out of the blocks both Aiden and Dexter were more comfortable in the cars.
