A round up of the BTCC news from Snetterton at the weekend.

The weekend’s BTCC racing was at Croft Circuit in North Yorkshire and on the Saturday the first practice session went very well for the Laser Tools Racing team. Even with maximum ballast, Ash Sutton was once again able to get the car under his spell early on and was able to end the session 2nd on the time sheets with a 1.22.27 second lap, 0.125 of a second behind his arch rival Colin Turkington. The best was saved until last, however, as the talented racer stormed from eighth on the grid to claim his 15th BTCC career victory and the first for the incredible Laser Tools Racing Infiniti Q50. He made a number of fantastic moves during the race with his final pass by Chris Smiley’s Hyundai clinching the victory, much to the delight of everyone at Laser Tools Racing. The Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship now moves on to Brands Hatch, with three races taking place on the legendary Grand Prix circuit next weekend (8/9 August).
