Struggled on free practice getting used to the different driving characteristics on the Ginetta over the Aston Martin due to no ABS and traction control.     Once I settled down and got into a rhythm, I was able to qualify pole.

Race one – it was a short 7 lap race, due to rolling starts in the Aston, just couldn’t get a clean start, slightly bogging on the pull away.    Third into the first corner, made my way to second, I was closing in on the leader, but unfortunately ran out of laps.

Race two – due to overnight torrential rain and being the first race of the day, I had a tricky position starting on the outside where it was completely wet.    Into the first corner, I slipped into 4th  as running on slicks, I could not get off line cleanly.   The wet conditions made over taking  very difficult.   Managed to slip into 3rd and going for 2nd, but the only way I could overtake was go in the wet, which didn’t work out on the slicks and unfortunately slipped me back down to finish 4th.

Race three – with the reverse grid, started P2, got a much better start, slipping into 3rd.     This is the best I could manage, due to the fact that   several of the front running  drivers opted to use their two allocated new tyres, which my team decided not to do, reserving them for the next round at Rockingham,  therefore, due to the degradation of my tyres, I finished 4th.
